Hey everyone!
Just another rainy day in Texas. I decided to start this blog not only to help out the world, but to give me an excuse to spend money on my favorite things :). Let me tell yall a little about myself. This is my 1st blog post eVer. I'm not much of a technology person, yet here I am hah. I also love trying out new things when it comes to exercise, makeup and beauty. I love trying new healthy eating and am obsessed with lip gloss lol. And so that is my misson. Every week I will try out something new, be it exercise, makeup or hair and give yall the DL so its a try before you buy. Not only will I try them out, but I will post the results day to day for that week.. kinda like a chick intuition lol. My first obsession falls under the diet section with this whole deal on "you are what you eat". Is this true? Logic would tell us that "we are what we eat"
would imply a diet of no alcohol, no fizzy drinks or maybe even no meat? I mean, our body is composed of mainly water, so thats a given. So, 8 glasses a day? Though, your body does need protein to build muscle..so protein should probably be on the list. Vegetables and fruit are musts. Although, flipping through the magazines on starlets latest weight loss success leaves me confused. Was it really necessary to post Bridget Marquardt's latest diet fling that left her eating an egg for breakfast, chocolate for luch and avocado dip for dinner? Of course the woman is going to lose weight..how unrealistic of you Bridge. Don't get me wrong, I love playboy. Not only do I find SOME of its models absolutly gorgeous, but they are definitly good inspiration for kicking off a new diet. Try opening the fridge with a picture of Jayde Nicole taped on it and you will drop those doritos instantly.
And so,
Starting today, 4/17/2010, I will follow all of the above rules to see what happens and eating sensibly. I will also try an exercise everyday, although work really kills that for me.
-8 glasses of water
-fruits and veggies
-try to eat no "bad carbs"
-no alcohol
-limited sweets
-lean protein
-while keeping in mind, "you are what you eat"
I wonder if its all in the mind? And if I tell myself that I am what I eat and then eat healthy it will mke me healthy? I guess we will find out.
Also, beauty try of the week and because I have just run out of shampoo...
-Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner
I have actually heard alot of great things about this duo and cant wait to try it before work!
til next time,
Dalia
xoxo
